Football Development Academy is responsible for the personal information described here. The business is based in Scunthorpe and provides youth football coaching across Scunthorpe and Doncaster.
Who to contact
For privacy questions or requests, email joe.toplass@footballdevelopmentacademy.com. Please write “Privacy request” in the subject line.
Information we collect
When a parent or guardian registers interest, we may collect:
- the parent or guardian’s name, phone number and optional email address;
- the child’s name and age;
- the requested coaching route and any optional message; and
- basic technical and security logs created when the website or email service is used; and
- anonymous website measurements such as page path, referral source, filtered query parameters, approximate location, device type, browser, operating system, timestamp and non-personal interaction events.
The form is for a parent or guardian to complete. Please do not put medical information or other sensitive details in the optional message. Joe can discuss relevant needs with you through an appropriate channel.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to respond, discuss suitable coaching, manage the requested steps before a booking and protect the website from abuse. We use aggregated website measurements to understand visits, referral sources and which parts of the site help families take the next step. The main legal bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating, measuring, improving and securing the service, and any legal duties that apply to coaching or safeguarding.
We do not sell personal information or use enquiry details for advertising. Marketing messages would require a separate, optional choice.
Who receives it
Enquiries are sent directly to Joe. Necessary service providers may process limited information on our behalf, including Vercel for website hosting and anonymous Web Analytics, Resend when direct form email is activated, and IONOS for business email. We may also disclose information where required by law, to professional advisers, or to safeguarding and emergency authorities where necessary to protect a child or another person.
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we expect appropriate legal safeguards to be used.
How long we keep it
The website does not keep a separate database of registration forms. Enquiry emails that do not lead to coaching will normally be deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful contact. Information connected with coaching, payment, a complaint, legal claim or safeguarding concern may need to be kept longer to meet legal, safety or record-keeping responsibilities.
Vercel states that its analytics visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours. Aggregated reporting is retained according to the Vercel account and plan settings.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may let you ask for a copy of your information, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable form. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first if you can—we would welcome the opportunity to resolve the issue.
Changes to this notice
We will review this notice when the booking, payment, email or analytics setup changes. The date at the top shows the latest published version.
